Moroccan rug hand woven using cactus silk and embroidered with a large tea pot, which often symbolises hospitality and friendship. This is a beautifully rich large rug in perfect condition.

Cactus silk is a plant-derived silk harvested from Saharan aloe vera cacti in northern Morocco and more often in Spain, called Sabra. After the silk fibres are extracted they are washed, dyed, dried and then hand-spun.
